We begin the episode with Kelsey litigating whether or not she caught a dark spirit or cockroach in her food pantry…hoping for a haunting! 🤞
We move to a segment on modern poetry (our favorite song lyrics) & Ashley brings her Scorpio Moon HARD, sharing a devastating song that includes the lyric “in the wake of disaster, will you sink down to me” and “I am the shadow driving the hearse.” Kelsey brings some Fiona Apple lyrics (shoutout sensitives) and brings empowering lyrics about turning pain into success and thoughtful ones about how we sometimes share evil around the world like a relay.
Our main topic this weekend is karma. Ashley and Kelsey outline karma as a more neutral concept related to cause and effect and not so much as a reward or punishment. We then work through how frustrating it is when good things happen to bad people and vice versa and how there may be more than what meets the eye from a karmic lens.
We conclude with some actionable thoughts including how to utilize the hard things that happen to us to gain perspective/ how to use the present moment to initiate new karma & some less actionable things including a thought experiment about whether people’s bad karma can turn them into cockroaches…
